Rushed Behind

The hardest hitting football show, ‘Rushed Behind,’ has arrived at 5:05 on a Monday night for Radio Monash. Four footballing tragics-come armchair experts gather for an hour of footy banter.

Meet our panelists:

Robbo: Hails from the far South of Adelaide, and this is where his football allegiance lies. His personal football career has one which has been marred by injuries; he has spent more time in hospital unconscious than he has on the field playing for the Monash Blues. Whilst he claims to be the polished, impartial anchorman of ‘Rushed Behind’ the enlightened listener will easily detect an Adelaide bias; alas, at least he doesn’t go for Port.

Coyotts: Is a Carlton man by way of Italian heritage, living in blissful ignorance of tanking allegations and breaches of the salary-cap. He can’t kick on his left...or his right, a footy tragic through and through. Along with Hammaz, he’s the heavy hitter of the show and borderline obsessive compulsive about Dream Team (weekends consist of staring at live updates and hoping that his bunch of hacks do something).

Hammaz: A serial umpire sympathiser; he has officiated many a match himself, after coming to terms with the fact that, as a player, he had the physical toughness of a ‘white maggot’. Now prefers to snipe elite players from the safety of the recording studio. However his main passion and bias lies with the St Kilda football club and he is very excited that 2009 will be the new 1966.

Lach: Some would say we already had one St Kilda supporter too many, but our fourth panellist joins Hammaz with the ‘optimistic’ view that the proverbial premiership window is still ajar. Lach, in the words of Dennis Commetti is an ‘ambitious’ young man and once attempted to start an amateur football club at High School, however, this proved to be about as attractive as the proposed western Sydney team.

The team are hopeful that ‘Rushed Behind’ brings more success than Lach's 'ambitious' endeavours.
